Throughout the day, I sometimes find myself in a lull where I am starting to feel sleepy and unmotivated. Instead of reaching for a cup of coffee, I found that stimulating my brain in other ways is more beneficial in the long run. Here are my 5 tips to keep your Brain active throughout the day.
Play a game
YAY, Words with Friends is one of my favorite iPhone games. Now it’s better and more clever than ever.
To be honest, it’s the only game on my phone! I love being able to jump into the game whenever I have a moment. My husband and I used to be really competitive in the game, so I am excited to challenge him to a game again.
Find me under ‘pinkonthecheek’ and let’s play!
Go for a hike
Getting outdoors is not only good for me but great for Mochi! Whenever I am starting to feel a little stir crazy at home, I strap on Mochi’s leash and walk around the neighborhood.
This sounds funny, but if I am getting bored, I like to cook!
It allows me to relax and focus on the recipe but also allows me to catch up on meal prep for the week.
I know I need to catch up on my summer reading list. It’s a bad habit but instead of reading, I have been picking up my phone to get on Instagram.
This summer I am trying to do better and finish at least 3 books. If you have a favorite book this year, share them below in the comments!
One of the perks of working at home is that I can easily fit in time to exercise. Depending on the day, I get up around 6:00 am and head to the gym.
If I am feeling like a slug, I will opt for working out after my morning meetings or in the afternoon. But it’s a great way for me to take a break from work and sweat it out!
