How to Organize Your Crafts and My Office Tour

I blame it on my astrological sign, but as a Virgo, I love organizing. When everything has a place, I feel so much better! But when it comes to my office, it can easily turn into a disaster zone when I am crafting. But here are my tips on how to organize your crafts and restore harmony in your craft room.

When Ernie and I moved into a two bedroom home, I had high hopes for my office. Of course, I have a board on Pinterest on what I would like my office to look when it’s completed. But until that day, it’s still a work in progress.

HAHA, it gives me anxiety to see how many items were left on the floor since they didn’t have a place! I also was avoiding my office at the time since when I was in there working, I would continue to look at the clutter and know that I should be cleaning.

But all it takes is a trip to Michaels, some shopping on Cricut.com, and an afternoon and your crafts area can also get organized again!

All of those items on the floor were able to get organized in clear containers from Michaels. I love how deep they are so I could put in all of my craft and vinyl paper.

Originally the office closet belonged to Ernie’s golf accessories, but then we were able to put his items in our spare bedroom closet. That made space to house all of my larger craft supplies – my Cricut EasyPress 2 and Cricut Maker.

For the smaller craft items, I used fabric boxes and inserted them in my bookcase.

In these fabric boxes, I put my small craft tools, Cricut pens, stickers and washi tape. Then I also hold my notebooks, my marquee sign and letters, and other office supplies.

If you have ever watched Marie Kondo on Netflix, she is a big advocate on having boxes to hold small items. This actually really helps when organizing crafts because there are tons of small items! So when I was planning out my office, I knew that if I got boxes, that would be a good start on how to place items by cateorgy.

Now, my office isn’t fully complete, but at least I can now feel relaxed when I walk in the room!
