Sharing our home with Mochi means that sometimes our home is a little messier than I would like. Here are my tips to get your home sparkling with pet-friendly spring cleaning.

Pet-friendly Cleaners
It’s so important to make sure the cleaners that you use in your home are safe for your pets.
Since Mochi loves to walk through wet grass, I am constantly drying his paws when he comes in the house. On a weekly basis, to get the paw prints off my floor, I use the Bona Premium Spray Mop (specifically the spray mop for stone, tile, & laminate Floors).
What I love about my Bona mop is that the cleaners are safe for pets and children. The cleaners are pH balanced and leave no dulling or sticky residue behind!
Also, using this mop is really easy to use. Just spray and mop with the machine washable microfiber pad. No more struggling with a bucket of hot water!

Weekly Brushing
With a long-haired dog, I am constantly finding “Mochi” hair around the house. Luckily it comes off with long clumps, but with weekly brushing, I found that my house stays much cleaner!
Double up on door mats
Holy moly, I know this sounds obvious but putting a doormat inside my house was a game changer. The laundry/wet room where we enter was constantly filthy with muddy paw prints and dirt. Now that we have an absorbent mat inside the room, it traps more dirt!
Deep clean your rugs and sofa
You have no idea how much is absorbed into your rugs until you have a dog.
Mochi loves taking his treats into the living room and eating them on the rug. Or to our disgust, loves to lick his paws on the sofa.
This spring, go through the heavy lifting and deep clean your upholstery and rugs. It will make your living room feel brand new again!
Mochi and I are excited to have a lot of fun outdoors now that the sun is finally making an appearance in the Bay Area. He loves going on long walks downtown and sitting with us at brunch. What do you like to do with your pup on warm, spring days?
Your dog is too cute! We don’t have any pups, but we do have a cat, so this post is super helpful, especially that mop!
This is great! We have dogs and cats, so I can always use pet friendly cleaning!

Love this post nd your pup is so cute!! Gotta save this for when I (decide) to clean lol
I will have to try that type of cleaner. I hadn’t thought about pet safety previously. Makes sense.
