One of our New Year’s resolutions was to only go out to dinner once a week. So far, my husband and I have been really good about it and actually embraced cooking at home! With our new love for cooking, we will be staying in for Valentine’s Day. Here’s how you too can create a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner at home.
Even though we are cooking at home, I wanted to create a meal that would be easy to pull together and have minimal cleanup.
Trader Joe’s is one of my favorite grocery stores and provides delicious premade food. It works in a pinch when I am coming home from work and need a quick meal for dinner.
So we can focus on our time together, and possibly squeeze in a movie, I picked up all premade food from Traders. Even down to the chocolate cake!
Ernie and I can definitely make a meal out of appetizers, so I picked up our favorite items like cured meats, a variety of cheeses, and lots of bread and dips.
No Valentine’s Day is complete without dessert!
Would you believe this chocolate ganache cake was found in Trader Joe’s frozen section?
To pull the meal together, I added pieces from the entertaining collection at Balsam Hill. If the name sounds familiar, it could because they are known for their incredible Christmas trees.
Here’s what I used from Balsam Hill to create our romantic Valentine’s Day table:
If you want to create a cozy gathering at your house, my friends at Balsam Hill are giving away an Oil Rubbed Bronze Granite Base Tabletop Wine Opener and Antique Brass Wine Stopper Holder.
