One of Silicon Valley’s hottest shopping destinations is Santana Row… and luckily for me, just down the road in San Jose. During the week, the Row has a lot less foot traffic, so I love walking around and checking out what’s new in the boutiques. Father’s Day is coming up on June 19th, so I had to get a few ideas for my father in law.
Orvis
I used to think that Orvis was just a fishing store…until I went in last week. They have one of the best selections of dog toys, beds, and accessories. How have I not been in to Orvis so I can spoil Mochi? Since my FIL (father-in-law) loves Mochi just as much as I do, I saw this pillow and immediately thought he would love it.
Hilarious, right?!
If your Dad loves dogs, fishing gear, or just being outdoors, Orvis should be the first place you check out at Santana Row.
Tommy Bahama
One of my favorite places in Orange County was the Tommy Bahama store in Newport Beach. They had a mini restaurant in their store and one of the best Mai-Tai cocktails. Now the Tommy Bahama store in Santana Row doesn’t have a restaurant inside, but they do have island flavor.
If your Dad or husband loves laid back clothes, he is going to love anything you pick for him at Tommy Bahama. Summer is right around the corner, so how about getting him a new pair of swim trunks? Or if he loves his grill, upgrade his BBQ tools!
Oakley
One of the coolest gifts (in my opinion) is at the Oakley store. Over the holidays, my husband and I each made a pair of custom sunglasses. You are able to pick out which colors you want for the frame, stems, and lens. Ernie even loves wearing my custom pink sunglasses!
I thought for a day of fun at Santana Row, bring your dad down to pick out a personalized pair of sunglasses, then take him out for a glass of wine at Vintage Wine Bar.
On a gorgeous day, there is no better place to hang out than the Vintage Wine Bar. They have a huge selection of wine to choose from on their menu. Try one of their wine flights to find your favorite! Bonus – surprise your Dad and gift him a bottle of his favorite wine to take home.
So this Father’s Day, head to Santana Row to celebrate Dad.
