To stay competitive in Silicon Valley, local companies like Google, Facebook, and Linkedin offer a lot of perks and benefits to make sure their employees are happy in the workplace. One of the most notable perks is to provide food and snacks to employees. It’s great to not have to think about what you’re going to eat during the day. It also eliminates the need to leave the office to find food.
But there is a downside to unlimited snacks in the office. It can be so tempting to eat junk food like candy and chips when you’re grabbing a snack between meetings.
Instead, bringing healthy snacks from home can help you stay on track and keep those junk food cravings at bay. Below you can find my favorite healthy snacks for work.
Craving salty snacks?
If you tend to pick up salty snacks, try Pearls Olives to Go!®. With flavors like Italian Herb, Taco, and Siracha, these snacking olives are sure to delight your taste buds!
These olives can be found at all major retailers. I found these at my neighborhood Target in the ‘condiment’ aisle.
- Air-popped popcorn
- Hummus and carrots
- Kale chips
- Edamame
- Pickles
- Roasted pumpkin seeds
- Mixed nuts
Craving something sweet?
- Greek yogurt with berries
- Homemade energy balls
- Apples and peanut butter
- Chocolate covered banana
- Figs and honey
- Chocolate chips inside raspberries

These are all great ideas! Bananas are my go-to nowadays for a snack on the go, since they’re so cheap and easy to carry! I also really like roasted chickpeas when I’m craving something more salty/savory… there are so many ways to flavor them!
What great snacking ideas! I love olives, so these cute little packages are a definite must-have for me. Thanks so much for the reminder about picking these up when I’m grocery shopping this afternoon.
I always need to bring nuts for my snacks at work. they dont seem to last. Carrots and Hummus are the perfect combo also to keep full!
Fruit is my first option usually but i’ve been wanting to branch out. thanks for the suggestions! I’m definitely not a fan of olives or pickles but all the other options sound great!
I love snacks. I like to have a sweet and salty mixture when I normally eat snacks, I normally like to eat crackers and string cheese.
The olives sound great! I’m a fan of Think Thin bars, and while I was initially seduced by the high protein and zero grams of sugar, after seeing all the processed ingredients, I realize they’re probably not the healthiest choice. Better than a Snickers bar, but not much. Your post has made me realize there are many healthier things I could be eating that are also convenient and portable.
I love these little olive packs! I have never tired the siracha flavor, but will have to do that. Yum!
