Irresistible Me Hair Extensions Review

IMG_4875

After all the comments about my hair in the Stitch Fix November Reveal post, I wanted to share more information about my Irresistible Me hair extensions.

Which one do I use?

Royal Remy Hair in Platinum Blonde – 18 inches and 140 grams

How do I put them in?

In the video above, I show how I put the extensions in.

I use a rat tail comb and a hair tie to section of my hair.

I use:

  • Two 3-clip hair pieces
  • One 4-clip hair piece
  • Two 2-clip hair pieces

In the video you can see the process of separating the hair, stacking the hair pieces, then curling my hair.

Curling my hairIMG_0188

I start curling my hair once I have the hair extensions put in place. I find that this is the best way to blend my hair with the extensions. I have tried curling my hair then putting in the extensions and it doesn’t look good.

Currently, I am using a 1″ barrel curler from Hot Tools.

Honest Review:

I had tried hair extensions before from a hair salon. There were not clip-in, but attached to my hair. I immediately regret my decision and had my husband cut them out of my hair. I was then left with wefts that were not able to go in my hair again. On my wedding day, I brought the hair extensions to the hotel while I was getting ready and my MIL sewed clips on them and I wore them at my wedding.

After trying to use them again, I felt like they were too thin. They didn’t blend well and didn’t hold a curl. I stopped trying to wear hair extensions until I heard about Irresistible Me.

So I was optimistic, but nervous to try them out. Mostly worried that I wouldn’t be able to blend them and you would see the tracks.

I was blown away by how easy it was to clip in these extensions. I honestly had no idea what I was doing so I watched a few YouTube videos to get some pointers. After figuring out that I need to stack the extensions, then curl, I was set.

Pros:

My hair looked BOMB. I felt like a supermodel with them in.

They held a curl more than my regular hair.

Not too heavy. I noticed the weight, but it wasn’t annoying.

Cons:

The hardest area to cover is the fine hair on the side of my head. I had to be really careful when masking those areas. Basically, don’t tuck my hair behind my ear, and I am good.

Overall, I think these hair extensions are well worth the money if you want to give them a try. Right now Irresistible Me is having a 40% off sale and the extensions I used are $164 down from $219.

Disclaimer: Irresistible Me sent me the extensions for review.
