How to Set Up Google Analytics on Squarespace

How to set up google analytics on squarespace

Today I am going to show you how you can set up Google Analytics on Squarespce without any downtime to your analytics.

If you are new to Google Analytics or had previous analytics running on your blogging platform, you would still follow the same steps.

Sign into your Google Analytics Account

Click on Admin > Tracking Info > Tracking Code

You will need to copy this number shown which begins with UA-__________

Log into Squarespace

Click on Settings > Advanced (under website) > External Services

Copy and paste the Google Anaytics tracking number in the Google Analytics Account Number. Click to save and you are all done!

As a note, Squarespace also runs their own analytics which may vary against Google’s algorithm. What I have found is that these numbers are very similar. It’s a personal preference on which analytics you like to refer to on your blog. It will take a day or two for Google Analytics to read your blog and start showing numbers, but it is working!

I hope this helps you on your Squarespace journey. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask me!
